Our equipment is built to last, designed with the durability to serve for decades, ensuring long-term value for our customers.Dependability is at the heart of our legacy, and we stand behind every product we make.
Partnering with The VON Corporation was a natural step for Radar Engineers, given our shared commitment to innovation and excellence in the utility industry. Both companies have built reputations for offering highly reliable solutions for underground cable fault locating and testing. Together, we are able to refine our product offerings, combining our expertise to provide even more comprehensive, efficient, and durable solutions to our customers worldwide.
Where quality, reliability, and service come together to meet the needs of our industry.
Founded in 1958 by C.F. Von Herrmann, The VON Corporation has established itself as a global leader in underground cable fault locating and high-voltage testing. Initially recognized for introducing the world's first one-person-portable, air-insulated, 100kV DC test set, the company has built a reputation for reliability, innovation, and ease of use in its equipment. Family-owned and based in Birmingham, Alabama, VON serves a worldwide customer base, focusing on providing specialized equipment for underground cable fault locating, high-voltage testing, rubber protective goods testing, and aerial device boom current monitoring.
Throughout its history, VON has continued to innovate and adapt to the evolving needs of the electric utility market. Starting with the revolutionary C Series high-voltage DC test equipment, the company expanded its product line to include the BI-.35 cable fault locator in the 1970s and the popular XF Series Arc Reflection Systems in the 1990s. The company's commitment to improving equipment and processes is exemplified by its 2006 overhaul of the rubber goods testing system, integrating microprocessor control. VON's legacy of innovation and customer service has cemented its position as a trusted name in the industry, constantly pushing forward to meet the demands of its market.
Hard-working equipment for hard-working people.
